Junior Analyst / Analyst, Deal Advisory

About the role

BDO's Deal Advisory team, which handles M&A and advisory engagements across Western Australia, is looking for talented graduates or analysts with experience in M&A, Transaction Services or Valuations. The role suits an early-career professional who wants to develop commercial acumen, analytical capability and transaction experience in a fast-paced advisory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A, due diligence and valuation engagements across a variety of industries
• Analyse financial information, identify key business drivers and assess company performance
• Assist with financial modelling, business valuations and transaction analysis
• Conduct market, industry and competitor research to support client engagements
• Prepare reports, presentations and client deliverables
• Assist with data room management and transaction execution activities
• Work with senior team members, clients and other transaction stakeholders

Required profile

• Previous experience in a professional services firm in a deal advisory or corporate finance team, or a relevant commercial role
• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
• Progress towards, or interest in, CA, CFA or similar professional qualifications
• Sound report writing, research, modelling and financial analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Financial modelling and valuation analysis
