IT Support Officer (Remote, Australia)

About the role

The IT Support Officer will provide day‑to‑day remote technical assistance to team members and stakeholders across Australia. This part‑time position focuses on troubleshooting desktop systems, printers, and general IT services while ensuring reliable and secure technology operations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets, diagnose issues and resolve problems related to desktops, printers and IT services.
• Set up, configure and maintain user devices and install approved software.
• Monitor system performance and escalate complex incidents when necessary.
• Maintain clear documentation of incidents, solutions and contribute to basic IT process improvements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure secure and reliable technology operations.

Required profile

• Strong technical support and troubleshooting abilities.
• Solid understanding of core IT concepts, operating systems and common business applications.
• Hands‑on experience with desktop computers and basic networking.
• Proficiency in printer installation, configuration and routine problem resolution.
• Located in Australia, able to work remotely and communicate across time zones.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently and follow documented procedures.
• Experience with remote support tools, ticketing systems and basic cybersecurity best practices is beneficial.
• Relevant IT certification or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL foundation) is an advantage.
