IT Digital Asset & Configuration Specialist (Contract)

About the role

Hastha Solutions has an urgent need for an IT Digital Asset & Configuration Specialist on a 6-month contract in Sydney, with a possible extension. The role covers the full lifecycle of IT assets and the integrity of the CMDB, working with IT teams to strengthen asset and configuration management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance and retirement, and set best practices for tracking, compliance and financial management aligned with GRC policies.
• Ensure CIs are accurately identified, classified and registered in the CMDB, and maintain data quality and CI relationship, dependency and version control policies.
• Identify automation opportunities in asset and configuration management and work with IT teams to streamline change management and incident response.
• Run regular CMDB audits, implement data validation and reconciliation, and support audit and regulatory requirements with security and compliance teams.
• Analyse asset and configuration data, build dashboards and reports on KPIs such as asset utilisation, compliance and service levels, and provide insights to reduce costs and improve reliability.

Required profile

• Australian or New Zealand citizens or PR holders only.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead process improvement and automation initiatives, manage stakeholders and collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• ITAM and ITCM best practices, CMDB structures and IT service dependencies.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM platforms and asset management tools.
• Data analysis with large datasets using ServiceNow PA, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Understanding of automation, scripting, ITIL frameworks and governance standards.
