IT Asset Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an IT Asset Administrator to join our IT Operations team in Smithfield. This entry‑level, hands‑on role will give you the chance to develop core IT Asset Management (ITAM) skills while supporting the day‑to‑day administration of hardware, software and procurement records.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Update asset information in the IT asset management system / CMDB.
• Assist with device onboarding, transfers and off‑boarding activities.
• Support software and license tracking under senior guidance.
• Raise and track purchase requests, purchase orders and deliveries.
• Help with stock‑takes, audits and reporting activities.
• Respond to asset‑related queries from IT, Finance and business users.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and systems.
• Proactive, willing‑to‑learn attitude and ability to follow processes and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
