ISEP Trainer - Vocational Training

About the role

Randstad is recruiting on behalf of ALPA, the Northern Territory's Aboriginal-owned corporation, for an ISEP Trainer based in Darwin. As an Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) Trainer, you will deliver practical, culturally rich vocational and work-readiness training for First Nations adult learners, respecting local Yolŋu culture and building real workplace capability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging vocational and work-readiness training tailored to First Nations adult learners under the ISEP grant.
• Conduct individual learner assessments and embed practical Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) strategies.
• Partner with local business leaders, community hubs and supervisors to align training with real job outcomes.
• Maintain accurate training records and student tracking using Microsoft Office Suite and internal systems.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) or an equivalent adult training qualification.
• Experience in adult education, particularly in First Nations, regional or remote contexts.
• High-level interpersonal skills with a respectful, cross-cultural communication style.
• Current NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), National Police Clearance and a C-Class driver's licence.

Required skills

• Adult education experience.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year tax-free.
• Phone allowance of $50 per month.
• 7 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% loading and 14% superannuation.
