Investment Administration Team Lead

About the role

The Investment Administration Team Lead will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Investment Administration team, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of investment administration activities while balancing people leadership with operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily workflow, resource allocation and priorities for the team.
• Coach, develop and cross‑skill team members, providing regular feedback.
• Oversee cash and investment reconciliations, fees, treasury processes, transactions and income movements.
• Monitor performance, quality and service standards, ensuring effective controls and compliance.
• Act as escalation point for complex operational matters, client issues and complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with custodians, banking partners, fund managers and brokers.
• Identify and drive process improvements, operational efficiency and service outcomes.
• Support operational initiatives, projects and business change.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial services, preferably investment administration or platform operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment products and the Australian financial planning industry.
• Understanding of Australian taxation, securities and cash products related to investment administration.
• Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of investment platforms and related technology.
• Familiarity with compliance and risk management frameworks.
