Inventory Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Inventory Purchasing Officer will manage the purchasing and availability of mining parts, ensuring timely supply and effective returns. Reporting to the Inventory Purchasing Manager, the role focuses on data‑driven decision making, supplier relationship management and continuous improvement of inventory performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective and timely parts, handling purchasing, supply and returns.
• Manage system inputs related to supply, including date management and resolution of order discrepancies (price, quantity, quality).
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver required reports and data analyses.

Required profile

• Curious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience in purchasing or supply‑chain roles.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and inventory management principles.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Baan IV.
• Proficient use of the MS Office Suite.
