Inventory Planner

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory Planner to support one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. You will ensure that maintenance teams have the right materials at the right time, helping the operation run safely and efficiently on a 4/3 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee availability of materials and critical components ahead of scheduled maintenance.
• Monitor and optimise stock levels, lead times and replenishment strategies to balance cost and availability.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement and Warehousing to resolve material issues and improve inventory accuracy.
• Track supplier performance, expedite critical purchase orders and address shortages to minimise downtime.
• Analyse inventory and supply‑chain data to identify trends and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide trusted inventory planning support that enhances equipment reliability and overall operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory planning, materials management or supply‑chain roles within mining, heavy industry or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and maintenance support processes.
• Proactive safety mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• SAP or a comparable Maintenance Management System.
