Intranet Content Designer and Strategist

About the role

A large Federal Government organisation is recruiting an experienced EL1 Intranet Content Designer and Strategist through its partner Ignite. The role leads intranet content governance and shapes the digital employee experience across a complex national workforce, working within a high-performing communications team. It is a 12-month contract based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's intranet content support function.
• Drive content strategy, governance, standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Advise on information architecture, content design, accessibility and user experience.
• Work with business areas to improve content quality, consistency and effectiveness.
• Create, edit and publish high-quality intranet content in plain English.
• Facilitate content reviews and help content owners keep information accurate and engaging.
• Develop training, guidance and support resources for content authors.
• Maintain and enhance approved corporate templates and content standards.

Required profile

• Experience leading or managing intranet, digital content or content governance functions.
• Experience developing content governance frameworks, standards and policies.
• Confidence to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Active baseline clearance required; only Australian citizens with active clearance can apply.

Required skills

• Exceptional writing, editing and content design skills.
• Strong understanding of information architecture, accessibility requirements and user-centred design principles.

The advertised pay is up to $144k plus 15.4% superannuation.
