Intermediate Accountant

About the role

An innovative Chartered Accounting firm is looking for an Intermediate or light Senior Accountant. You will work across a varied portfolio of clients, including SMEs and international businesses, and gain exposure to modern cloud-based accounting software and a broad range of compliance and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• BAS, IAS and FBT preparation and lodgement
• CGT, GST, Division 7A, PSI and tax planning
• Support virtual CFO services, including payroll, accounts and management reporting
• Build strong client relationships and take on greater responsibility as you progress

Required profile

• Ideally 3+ years' experience in public practice
• CA/CPA studies completed or underway (for Seniors), or an interest in commencing them (for Intermediates)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Good attention to detail and time management
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to learn and progress
