Integration Architect

About the role

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on Enterprise Integration Architect to lead the connectivity strategy for a large‑scale business transformation. The role sits at the intersection of a SAP S/4HANA implementation and a major Point‑of‑Sale & Retail Back‑Office modernisation, defining how the new digital core exchanges data with distributed retail systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern integration specifications, API contracts, and interface patterns linking SAP S/4HANA with retail back‑office, POS and edge systems.
• Architect real‑time, event‑driven and batch data‑flow models using SAP Integration Suite and related tools.
• Define interim integration states to ensure seamless data synchronisation during parallel delivery and migration from legacy ERP.
• Drive the modernisation of a fragmented legacy integration estate into a scalable, API‑first platform.
• Set non‑functional requirements (throughput, latency, resilience, monitoring) and a unified security approach across all boundaries.
• Build proofs of concept to de‑risk high‑volume or complex integration points.
• Collaborate with program architects and external system integrators, reviewing and validating vendor designs.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in enterprise integration architecture.
• Proven track record delivering SAP S/4HANA integration projects at scale.
• Strong understanding of API‑first design, event‑driven architectures and real‑time data exchange.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, influence design decisions and manage vendor relationships.
