Instrumental Music Teacher (Part‑time)

About the role

Australian Christian College is seeking enthusiastic and versatile instrumental music teachers to join its growing Music Department. The role involves establishing a new Year 5 Band and a Year 3 String Program, working collaboratively with a small team of tutors.

Key responsibilities

• Teach beginner violin and cello in a group setting as part of a two‑tutor team.
• Deliver instruction for woodwind (flute, clarinet, saxophone) and brass (trumpet, trombone) instruments for the Year 5 Band.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the instrumental music program.

Required profile

• Passion for inspiring young musicians and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop teaching skills, even without prior experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, cello, and violin.
• Ability to conduct ensembles and manage group lessons.
