Infrastructure & Systems Administrator

About the role

Buildsafe is seeking an Infrastructure & Systems Administrator to join its IT team in Arundel. Reporting to the CIO and working alongside a Senior Infrastructure Administrator, you will support and evolve the infrastructure that powers both Buildsafe and its BuildCam platform. The role blends enterprise systems administration with hands‑on deployment of physical hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy and maintain enterprise server, storage and network infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, IIS and Microsoft 365.
• Deploy and manage Docker containers and hosted applications.
• Monitor performance, security, backups and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Configure and support switches, firewalls, VPNs and other networking equipment.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support branch deployments.
• Contribute to automation, documentation and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Permanent working rights in Australia.
• 3+ years experience in infrastructure or systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy.
• Experience with IIS, Docker and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise server hardware and NAS/storage platforms (Synology preferred).
• Solid networking background – switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewalls.
• PowerShell or other scripting experience.
