Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

VGW is building its next‑generation infrastructure platform on AWS and is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in Perth. You will own the design, implementation and operation of container‑based services that power our free‑to‑play games.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Operate and optimise Amazon EKS clusters, MSK, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront and S3.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, observability (Grafana, Honeycomb) and resilience patterns.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security, reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Experience working in a collaborative technical team.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating container‑based infrastructure on AWS, preferably with EKS.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure‑as‑code and observability tools.
• Understanding of cloud security, resilience techniques and ITIL processes.
