Industry Controller (Management Accountant) - Cotton Platform

About the role

Louis Dreyfus Company is looking for an Industry Controller to join its Cotton platform in Brisbane, Queensland. Working closely with the Senior Industry Controller, you will own management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets, stock control and finance systems. You must be an Australian citizen or have the right to live and work in this location.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management financials to support the Senior Industry Controller.
• Manage accounting impacts from asset procurement and divestment, including the Fixed Asset Register, depreciation schedules and consolidation tool updates.
• Analyse P&L, volumes, revenue and production cost drivers for internal stakeholders.
• Handle industry-related queries during annual audits.
• Prepare and review the annual budget with the Financial Controller for Ginning, Warehousing and Industry Corporate.
• Support monthly forecasts, tracking volumes and KPIs for management and executive reporting.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with full reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Support capex application analysis and prepare monthly capex reports and quarterly fixed asset registers.
• Oversee the integrity of finance data in Cotton front office and operating systems, and support system development and day-to-day finance processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of finance experience (industry experience preferred).
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA or ICAA qualified, or equivalent professional membership.
• English language proficiency required.

Required skills

• Technical accounting in a medium-large or complex corporate environment, with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Management reporting, variance analysis, GL posting, accruals and reconciliations.
• Understanding of end-to-end processes and internal controls (budgeting, forecasting, procure-to-pay, invoicing).
