Industrial Electrician - PM Shift

About the role

A leading food manufacturing facility in Colac is looking for a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join its maintenance team. This is a permanent, full-time position on the afternoon (PM) shift, with a competitive hourly rate of AUD 49-52 and rostered overtime available.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding on plant and equipment
• Monitor, report and troubleshoot equipment performance issues
• Complete electrical wiring, connections and installations in line with AS/NZS 3000 standards
• Perform risk assessments and follow safe work practices
• Assist with general mechanical or trade support as required
• Maintain accurate records and keep the workshop tidy
• Take part in rostered overtime to support maintenance schedules

Required profile

• Current Electrical Trade Qualification (A Grade License)
• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Teamwork and communication skills, commitment to safety and compliance with WHS procedures

Required skills

• Sound understanding of PLC systems, relay logic and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
