About the role
The Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) is recruiting an Indigenous Knowledge Centre (IKC) Coordinator based at Division 5, Badu Island. The coordinator coordinates and delivers community programs and activities, promotes IKC services and works closely with community members and partners to encourage learning, cultural engagement and participation.
Required profile
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children); no card means no start.
- Strong communication and community engagement skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver programs and activities.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships within the community.
What we offer
- Part-time, fixed-term position until 30 June 2027, 20 hours per week Monday to Friday.
- 6 weeks annual leave and additional TSIRC gazetted holidays.
