In-Charge ED (CMO) - 11-Day Block, Inverell

About the role

Critical Care Team is recruiting a locum In-Charge of Emergency Medicine (CMO) for Inverell District Hospital, NSW. You will be the sole doctor in charge of the Emergency Department during an 11-day block from Monday 15 February to Thursday 25 February 2027, working 2000-0800 and 0800-2000 shifts. Accommodation and flights are available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to high-acuity critical care patients with a wide range of clinical presentations
• Remain on site for the entire shift, ensuring continuous care except for designated breaks
• Handle on-call duties; doctors presenting for more than 7 days on call need 2 mandatory rest days for fatigue management
• Complete 6 hours of SDPR training before starting; doctors are paid for this time

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and NSW WWCC
• Primary degree; NSW hospital paperwork (LHD specific) and NSW Health online training modules
• Immunisations and current AHPRA registration
• Fellowship and CPD certificate if applicable, references and CRC
• NSW declarations (Hep B, TB, secondary employment, code of conduct) and indemnity
