ICU Registered Nurse

About the role

The Mater, a private hospital on the North Shore of Sydney, is recruiting a permanent full-time ICU Registered Nurse. The role sits within the Intensive Care Unit and involves caring for complex patients across advanced surgical, orthopaedic and medical specialties, on a 24/7 rotating roster of 12-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, manage and deliver advanced interventions for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with leading surgeons in a multidisciplinary, team-driven environment
• Deliver empathetic, holistic and individualised critical care, improving the patient and family experience
• Use top-tier medical technology in a hospital noted for its robotics, maternity, orthopaedics and oncology services

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an ICU registered nurse
• AHPRA registration
• Ability to evaluate and deliver quality patient care
• Ability to collaborate with and support colleagues in a busy environment
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australian visa granting the necessary work rights (visa sponsorship is not available)
