ICT Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to provide strategic sourcing and commercial advice for a multi‑year modernisation project covering digital platforms, AI, automation, data services and workforce change. The role sits within the ICT Strategic Sourcing team and is embedded in the project to ensure procurement aligns with governance, delivery priorities and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic sourcing approaches and contribute to the overall project procurement strategy.
• Conduct procurement planning, market research, and refine specifications, statements of work and deliverables.
• Create tender documentation, evaluation plans and manage the full tender and evaluation process.
• Negotiate and manage ICT contracts using QITC frameworks, including contract documentation, schedules, payment milestones and variations.
• Provide commercial advice, monitor supplier performance, manage scope changes and escalate commercial risks.

Required profile

• Practical experience developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC frameworks.
• Proven track record delivering strategic ICT procurement outcomes across sourcing, market engagement, tendering and commercial negotiation.
• Experience applying Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 (QPP 2026) to procurement planning, sourcing, evaluation and contracting.
• Background supporting complex, multi‑year transformation projects, especially in digital platforms, AI, automation or data services.
