HV/LV Electrician

About the role

Service Stream's Defence division is looking for qualified HV/LV electricians to join its Property and Asset Services team supporting South Australia and the Northern Territory. This is a long-term contract (initial 6-year term) in permanent full-time positions based at RAAF Darwin and surrounding bases.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of HV and LV electrical systems across multiple sites and bases.
• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on HV and LV systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and issues.
• Install and commission electrical systems in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Work with the EU Supervisor to coordinate and prioritise tasks and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Take part in training and development and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with HV and LV electrical systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults.
• Experience keeping accurate records and documentation.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in electrical work.
• Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
