HVAC-R Refrigeration Mechanic

About the role

Bazlec West Electrical & Air, a family-run business based in Broome, is looking for an HVAC-R air conditioning and refrigeration technician. The business covers electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, fault finding, installations and project-based work across commercial, residential and remote networks.

Key responsibilities

• Fault finding and parts replacement for air conditioning on residential, commercial and remote sites
• Install and replace split systems, RACs, VRVs and cassettes
• Cool room and refrigeration fault finding, repairs and upgrades
• Asset management for commercial clients
• Servicing of split systems and cassettes
• Travel out of town when required, including 1-2 night periods

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience installing, fault-finding and maintaining residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration
• Manual driver's licence and ARCtick licence
• White card and ability to obtain a national police clearance
• Willingness to relocate to Broome if not already residing there
• Ability to follow WH&S policies and procedures, and to travel out of town

Required skills

• Air conditioning and refrigeration installation and maintenance
• Refrigerant handling (current Refrigerant Handling Licence requested)
• Tech savviness and good customer service

What we offer

• $65-$75 per hour depending on skill level
