Human Resources Intern - People & Culture

About the role

A confidential organisation in Melbourne is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join its People & Culture team. The internship covers core HR and recruitment activities, including the attraction, selection and onboarding of talent. It suits students currently completing studies in Human Resources or a related discipline, with the option to work part-time or full-time alongside their studies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with candidate sourcing, screening and coordination through job boards, LinkedIn and other channels
• Support interview scheduling and keep professional communication with candidates
• Maintain accurate employee and candidate records in HR and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
• Coordinate background checks in line with organisational requirements
• Work with the HR and Talent Acquisition teams and Hiring Managers to support people processes

Required profile

• Currently studying Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in Human Resources and supporting positive employee experiences
