Human Resources Advisor - Mining Operations

About the role

A recruiter is partnering with a globally recognised resources operator to find an experienced Human Resources Advisor for its North West Queensland mining operations. The role is described as a genuine contract opportunity with relocation assistance offered to the successful applicant, and it sits within an established HR Operations team reporting to the HR Superintendent.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR advice across employee relations, performance management and legislative compliance
• Support performance improvement plans and attendance management processes
• Assist with workforce planning, roster planning and establishment management
• Contribute to recruitment support and organisational capability initiatives
• Support remuneration, benefits, payroll processing and injury management activities
• Help deliver and implement HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with leaders to support data-driven decision making

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
• 2+ years of HR experience in the resources, mining or heavy industry sector
• Sound judgement, strong stakeholder skills and the confidence to advise consistently at all levels of the organisation

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to influence, negotiate and build stakeholder relationships
