HSE Advisor - Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the safe and compliant delivery of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role combines office-based and site-based work, partnering with project teams, contractors and senior HSE leadership to drive positive safety outcomes. It covers development, construction and operations, with flexible working and a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations
• Provide practical HSE advice to project teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews and risk control implementation
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety awareness initiatives
• Monitor contractor compliance with legislation, standards and project requirements
• Maintain HSE documentation, reporting systems and compliance records

Required profile

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
• 3-7+ years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure or renewable energy
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice
• Experience in contractor management and site-based safety practices
• Current White Card and driver's licence
• ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training
• Experience across wind, solar or battery energy storage projects highly regarded; environmental qualifications advantageous
