HSE Advisor

About the role

At Alder Group, the HSE Advisor will support the Construction team across a diverse portfolio of building and civil projects in Brisbane. The role is highly visible, hands‑on and focused on influencing safe behaviours, managing risk and embedding a proactive safety culture throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to maintain safe, compliant and high‑performing environments.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Lead toolbox talks and contribute to HSE objectives and initiatives.
• Maintain HSE records and documentation in line with ISO and company requirements.
• Provide proactive safety advice during project planning and delivery.
• Drive compliance, risk mitigation and continuous improvement across projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HSE Advisor in the construction industry.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement).
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and safety management systems.
• Formal incident investigation training.
• High level of digital literacy; current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Required skills

• Procore (experience highly regarded).
