HR Waste Side Arm Operator

About the role

A very busy Cleansing Team keeps the city's roads, paths and laneways clean, and is looking for a self-motivated person who takes pride in their work. This is a local government role advertised by Recruitment Edge, based in the western suburbs, with immediate commencement.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake street cleaning and routine cleaning and litter collection in amenities, footpaths, roads, shopping centres, pits and car parks
• Operate minor plant including high-pressure hoses and blowers
• Inspect facilities and report on maintenance and equipment issues
• Rubbish removal and ad hoc street cleansing duties such as sweeping and general clean-up

Required profile

• Physically fit and healthy, able to work without supervision
• HR licence and White Card are essential
• Experience driving a compactor; experience in open space teams and in a similar role is an advantage

Required skills

• Steel toe cap boots and a high-visibility shirt or vest are essential
• Ability to operate minor plant such as high-pressure hoses and blowers

Shifts run 3:30am to 11:30am Monday to Friday plus weekend work, paid at $53.11 per hour. To apply, send your resume by email or use the online application form.
