HR Team Leader (Recruitment)

About the role

The Queensland public sector is seeking an experienced HR Team Leader to drive recruitment activities across the organisation. You will lead a team of recruiters, oversee vacancy processing and ensure high‑quality hiring outcomes in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the recruitment team to meet staffing targets.
• Manage end‑to‑end vacancy processing, from requisition to offer.
• Utilise the Springboard recruitment platform to post, track and evaluate candidates.
• Ensure compliance with Queensland public‑sector recruitment policies and relevant legislation.
• Analyse recruitment metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and selection criteria.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of recruitment services within the Queensland public sector.
• Demonstrated experience using Springboard or similar recruitment systems.
• Ability to work quickly and effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with the Public Sector Act requirements for disclosures and background checks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
