HR Systems Administrator (Dayforce)

About the role

Spotlight Group Holdings, an Australian retail group, is hiring an HR Systems Administrator for a fixed-term 9-month contract based in its South Melbourne office. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the HRIS (Dayforce) and provides foundational support across HR, payroll and workforce management. It is advertised as a hybrid role.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the HRIS by performing routine updates such as organisation structure changes, job and employee data maintenance, and supporting configuration tasks under supervision
• Keep employee and organisational data accurate, correct inconsistencies and support periodic data checks and audits
• Provide first-line support for HRIS queries, PageUp recruitment, learning and performance queries, and escalate complex issues
• Follow SOPs for system changes, help maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports and data extracts, update dashboards and prepare data for business or audit needs

Required profile

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia (only shortlisted candidates will be contacted)
• Desirable: some exposure to HR, payroll or administrative systems
• Desirable: experience in data entry, reporting or system administration
• Desirable: experience with PageUp or Dayforce
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a service orientation

Required skills

• Basic understanding of HR systems or databases
• Strong data entry and accuracy skills
• Basic Excel or reporting capability and willingness to learn system configuration
