HR Compliance Analyst

About the role

Cleanaway is looking for an HR Compliance Analyst in Melbourne to strengthen compliance across its complex employment and industrial relations environment. The role works with HR, Payroll, Finance and Operations to identify risks, improve processes and ensure employees are paid correctly and obligations are met. It is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse employee, payroll and rostering data, identify discrepancies and investigate employee entitlements
• Interpret legislation including modern awards, enterprise agreements, Fair Work updates, visa requirements and Same Job Same Pay obligations
• Review existing processes, recommend stronger controls and help implement sustainable compliance solutions
• Assess compliance gaps, quantify discrepancies and coordinate remediation activities
• Partner with HR, Industrial Relations, Payroll, Finance and Operations to embed best-practice compliance and governance
• Support the development of policies, procedures, training resources and guidance so leaders can meet their obligations

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in HR compliance, industrial relations, payroll compliance or a similar role in a complex organisation
• Strong knowledge of modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation
• Experience analysing employee and payroll data, interpreting rostering patterns and calculating entitlements
• Proven ability to investigate compliance risks, support remediation and improve processes, systems and controls
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRIS, payroll and workforce administration systems
• Experience in enterprise agreement implementation, documentation and compliance reporting is highly regarded
