HR Officer – High‑Volume Shared Services Role

About the role

This position is for an experienced HR Officer to join a well‑established mining organisation in Perth CBD. Working within a fast‑paced HR Shared Services environment, you will provide responsive and accurate HR support across a diverse operational workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to high‑volume HR queries through ServiceNow ticketing.
• Provide advice on HR policies, procedures and employment conditions.
• Prepare employment contracts, variations, letters and other employee documentation.
• Process employee changes, transfers, promotions and remuneration updates.
• Maintain accurate employee and organisational information, including organisational charts and HR records.
• Interpret and apply relevant industrial instruments, Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.
• Ensure advice and documentation align with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and related legislation.

Required profile

• Experienced HR Officer or HR Coordinator with a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in a fast‑paced HR or Shared Services environment, preferably using ServiceNow or a similar system.
• Practical understanding of industrial instruments, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Good working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ServiceNow ticketing system for HR queries.
• Ability to interpret and apply HR policies, industrial instruments and employment legislation.
