HR Coordinator – Part‑time (25 hrs/week)

About the role
Genea is seeking a part‑time HR Coordinator to join a small, experienced HR team. Working 25 hours per week, you will provide hands‑on administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day HR operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the HR inbox, triaging queries from managers and employees.
- Coordinate onboarding, cross‑boarding and off‑boarding processes.
- Prepare employee correspondence such as contract variations, parental‑leave letters and return‑to‑work arrangements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and keep the HR portal up to date.
- Support HR system administration across SmartRecruiters, Simon, Kineo and Glow.
- Generate HR reports and assist with compliance reporting, including WGEA.
- Provide backup support to the Payroll Manager as needed.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Administrator role.
- Familiarity with Australian employment law and modern awards.
- Strong organisational skills, discretion and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights.
- A qualification in HR or a related discipline is a bonus, not a requirement.
Required skills
- Proficiency with HR systems: SmartRecruiters, Simon, Kineo, Glow.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
