HR Coordinator

About the role

The HR Coordinator will join the Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park team to support daily human‑resources operations in a busy hotel environment. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on recruitment assistance, employee documentation, payroll support and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment processes, including screening applications, scheduling interviews and preparing offer letters or contracts.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding documentation, ensuring accurate employee records.
• Support payroll and time‑keeping administration and maintain compliance with hotel and brand HR policies.
• Respond to team‑member inquiries, manage leave requests, training schedules and HR communications.
• Contribute to engagement initiatives, performance‑review cycles and health‑and‑safety programs.

Required profile

• Strong HR administration experience, including employee records management and basic payroll coordination.
• Knowledge of HR policies, workplace legislation basics and hospitality‑specific compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Ability to work on‑site, adapt to changing priorities and collaborate within a cross‑functional hotel team.
• Certificate or degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS or HR databases.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Comfort working with digital HR systems and reporting tools.
