HR Business Partner – Adelaide

About the role

Be the HR heartbeat for A&G’s brand‑new Adelaide office. As the sole HR presence on the ground you will partner directly with the GM and senior leaders to shape the people experience from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employee‑relations matters including performance, conduct, attendance, investigations and advisory across all levels.
• Provide trusted HR advice on policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation.
• Drive talent and capability by supporting career development, delivering leadership‑upskill sessions and lifting people capability.
• Execute people plans and Best Trained Organisation (BTO) initiatives locally, ensuring enterprise strategy lands with Adelaide context.
• Manage Tier 2 HR queries, triage complex matters and know when to escalate or collaborate.
• Prepare reporting and insights to inform divisional people decisions and contribute to strategic planning.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of HR advisory or Business Partner experience.
• Hands‑on employee‑relations background managing performance, conduct, absence and investigations.
• Experience in a high‑volume, people‑intensive environment such as retail, hospitality or call‑centre.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable and able to build something new.
• Highly autonomous, thrives on ownership and accountability.
• Balances conflicting priorities with logic, resourcefulness and a growth mindset.
• Confident influencing and advising senior leaders with discretion and professionalism.
