HR Advisor – HR Helpdesk

About the role

The Clean Energy Regulator is seeking APS Level 5 HR Advisors to join its HR Service Delivery (HR Helpdesk) team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of HR enquiries, interpreting policy and legislation while supporting payroll operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine and complex HR enquiries from staff and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal HR teams, agency personnel and external service providers.
• Apply strong planning and problem‑solving skills to meet HR outcomes within tight deadlines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation, policy frameworks and HR guidelines.
• Exercise sound judgement and limited discretion when interpreting and applying legislation, instructions, and procedures.

Required profile

• APS Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience in a public‑sector HR environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret HR policy and legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities.
