Housekeeping Training Specialist – FIFO 8/6 Roster

About the role

The Housekeeping Training Specialist is a field‑based position focused on building the capability of cleaning supervisors across the IFMS contract. You will deliver structured training on‑site, coach supervisors and ensure consistent housekeeping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver face‑to‑face housekeeping training to IFMS Cleaning Supervisors using approved contract materials.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching and side‑by‑side support to reinforce learning.
• Support onboarding and induction of newly appointed Cleaning Supervisors.
• Assess supervisor competency against contract standards and give constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate training records in the LMS and report on completion and outcomes.
• Coordinate training visits with site management to minimise operational disruption.
• Identify emerging training needs and escalate them through the L&D team.
• Provide feedback on training materials and recommend improvements.
• Champion correct chemical handling, equipment use and safe work practices.
• Build strong relationships with site leadership, supervisors and L&D stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in housekeeping, cleaning or soft services, preferably within the IFMS contract environment.
• Proven ability to coach, train and support operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning methodologies, chemical safety and equipment use.
• Organised, adaptable and able to manage time while travelling across multiple sites.
• Current C‑class driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Required skills

• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
