Housekeeping Supervisor – Adults‑only Retreat

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at Pumphouse Point, an adults‑only retreat in Tasmania’s World Heritage wilderness. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of housekeeping staff, working hands‑on to maintain guest rooms and facilities.
• Manage inventory, order supplies and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Perform room inspections to ensure standards are met and address any issues promptly.
• Schedule staff across a 7‑day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records and reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in housekeeping within the tourism or hospitality sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude with resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current driver’s licence and personal vehicle for remote location travel.
