Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

Royal Sydney, a private members' club in Rose Bay, is looking for a Housekeeping Attendant to report to the Clubhouse Operations Manager. The role covers cleaning of public areas and accommodation rooms, event set-up and pack-down, and stores duties. It is part-time, 20-30 hours per week, with shifts during the week and on weekends from 2:30pm to 10:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene in guest rooms and public areas such as the lobby, lifts, stairways and toilets.
• Support the events team with set-up, bump-in/bump-out and pack-down of functions.
• Deliver linen, towels and rollaway beds to rooms as needed.
• Order and store stock on time, keep stock areas secure and rotate perishables to prevent waste.
• Distribute stock according to requisitions or approved orders and report discrepancies, damage or loss to the Clubhouse Operations Manager.
• Assist in managing the garbage room and keep the loading dock tidy per club protocol.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or a similar role in a quality hotel environment is essential.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organized and able to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience using chemical and commercial cleaning equipment.
