Housekeeping Assistant / Supervisor

About the role

The Oaks Port Douglas Resort is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet cleanliness and high presentation standards.
• Supervise and support the housekeeping team, promoting a productive and professional workplace culture.
• Oversee on‑the‑job training to ensure consistent procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, including daily logs, inventory reports and maintenance requests.
• Collaborate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in supervising or managing housekeeping operations.
• Experience controlling and maintaining budgets, operating supplies, replacements and consumables.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time‑management and organisational skills.
• A sharp eye for detail and the ability to set and uphold high cleanliness standards.

Required skills

• Supervisory experience in housekeeping.
