Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor for Oaks Port Douglas Resort. This hands‑on operational leadership position supports the daily success of Oak & Vine Restaurant and the resort’s conference and events operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the Food & Beverage team to deliver professional, efficient, and high‑quality service across restaurant and event operations.
• Supervise daily dinner service and assist in the execution of conferences, functions, weddings, and special events.
• Train, mentor and develop team members, including onboarding new employees and coaching service techniques.
• Assist with rostering, labour management, shift coordination and workflow planning to optimise operational efficiency.
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory control processes to minimise wastage.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or similar leadership role in a restaurant, hotel, resort or events environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop hospitality teams.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional presentation and a commitment to high service standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Required skills

• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
