About the role
Sodexo is seeking a Hospitality & Utilities Attendant to support the wellbeing of village residents in Weipa, Queensland. The role operates on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster with 10‑11 hour shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Housekeeping and cleaning of accommodation rooms (dongas).
- Support kitchen and dining room operations, including basic food handling and preparation.
- Provide friendly customer service in the onsite tavern or retail shop.
- Clean and maintain mine‑site offices, outdoor areas, and common areas.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to work long shifts in remote, extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to travel safely to and from work and obtain a recent National Police Check.
- Pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening.
Required skills
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (not essential).
