Home-Style Baking Volunteer (Afternoon Tea)

About the role

HammondCare Wahroonga is looking for a Home-Style Baking Volunteer to run a warm, social afternoon tea for its residents. You will turn simple ingredients into special memories by cooking alongside residents, supporting them to prepare simple homemade treats while encouraging their participation and celebrating their individual abilities. The role is about bringing people together through shared stories, friendly conversation and laughter.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents prepare simple homemade treats during an afternoon tea session
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate each person's abilities
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere through shared stories, conversation and laughter
• Enjoy a cup of tea together after the activity

Required profile

• 18 years or older
• NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Availability for sessions around 2:30pm, Monday to Sunday, weekly or fortnightly depending on your schedule
