High Voltage Electrician – Mining Trucks

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is looking for a High-Voltage Electrician to join its Perth Ad Hoc Field Support team. Based in the Perth branch but working mostly between sites in the Gold Fields and Pilbara regions, the role supports client truck fleets with electrical installations, commissioning, pre-deployment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, component installation and repairs on Hitachi EH mining trucks. It is a permanent full-time position with access to OEM training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluation and high-voltage electrical maintenance on Hitachi electric mining trucks
• Support the full range of Hitachi products across the Western Region
• Liaise with technical support staff to deliver efficient outcomes and help improve products
• Complete and submit all relevant documentation and reporting paperwork
• Maintain good relationships with customers, peers and other departments
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in your area of responsibility

Required profile

• Australian licensed high-voltage electrical qualification
• Current driver's licence
• Demonstrated experience with electric drive mining equipment; OEM experience preferred
• Previous mine-site exposure with a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and breakdown support
• Willingness to attend multiple sites
• Proactive approach to workplace health and safety
