High Risk Trainer & Assessor (FIFO)

About the role

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to deliver high‑risk operations training across its Chichester Hub, supporting the Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak sites. This FIFO position offers a dynamic environment where you will shape the competency of our mining workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and assess high‑risk training programmes for site personnel.
• Deliver Fortescue‑specific training, including Verification of Competency assessments.
• Maintain accurate, compliant training records and digital training matrices.
• Provide administrative and scheduling support as required.
• Demonstrate initiative, work independently and manage time effectively.

Required profile

• Current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
• WorkSafe Assessor Accreditation.
• Proven experience in high‑risk mining training and assessment.
• Strong knowledge of mining practices and technical systems.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and deliver superior customer service.

Required skills

• Dogging (DG) HRWL licensing.
• Forklift (LF) HRWL licensing.
• Crane (CN/CV) HRWL licensing.
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) HRWL licensing.
• Working at Heights (NUOC) certification.
• Confined Space Entry and Gas Testing (NUOC) certification.
• Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with SAP and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
