Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner

About the role

A newly created Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner role supports the growth of Amplar Health, a healthcare business within Medibank. The role partners with leaders to identify risks, strengthen safety capability and influence decision-making across hospital-in-the-home, community and in-home care, virtual care and call centre operations. It is not a traditional corporate safety role, and the majority of stakeholders are based in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to embed Medibank's Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy
• Advise on WHS legislation, risk management and compliance
• Lead incident investigations, risk assessments and audit activities
• Analyse safety and people data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Develop and enhance HSW frameworks, policies and programs
• Build stakeholder relationships and influence positive safety outcomes

Required profile

• 6+ years' experience in Health, Safety & Wellbeing
• Experience partnering with leaders in healthcare, community services, emergency services, aged care, disability, justice or similar field-based operational environments
• Relevant qualification in WHS, Occupational Health, Risk Management or a related discipline
• Ability to work autonomously, challenge constructively and drive outcomes

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management practices
• Advanced reporting and data analysis capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
