Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join its Melbourne team. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will coordinate safety systems across construction projects, identify hazards, assess risks and implement controls to ensure a safe workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate safety documentation and systems throughout the project.
• Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments for high‑risk activities.
• Report incidents, injuries and hazards promptly.
• Recommend and implement safety controls with the construction team.
• Support supervisors and crews to achieve safety targets.
• Investigate lost‑time injuries and critical incidents and conduct debriefs.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and sustainability practices.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Current First Aid Level 2 certification.
• Construction Induction Training (White Card) – face‑to‑face.
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or ability to obtain one.
• Extensive experience in safety, compliance and risk management systems.

Required skills
