Health and Wellness Advisor (Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker)

About the role

atWork Australia is a national employment services provider supporting people living with disability, injury, health condition or other barriers to secure meaningful employment. As a Health and Wellness Advisor, you will provide practical wellbeing support to clients facing mental health, psychosocial, health or vocational challenges, working with Job Coaches, employers and healthcare providers to help them build resilience and move toward sustainable employment outcomes. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of applying.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct wellbeing and vocational assessments
• Deliver brief, evidence-informed interventions and coaching
• Provide psychoeducation and practical wellbeing strategies
• Support clients in managing barriers to employment
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and compliant case notes
• Contribute to positive client and employment outcomes

Required profile

• Registered Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Counsellor
• Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial challenges
• A person-centred, strengths-based approach
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Current Australian driver's licence

Required skills

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills
