Head of Technology & Cyber Security

About the role

This senior leadership position will shape the digital future of a nationally recognised organisation supporting Australia’s agricultural export sector. Reporting to the CIO, you will own the technology and cyber security function, ensuring secure, resilient and business‑focused platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the enterprise technology and cyber security strategy.
• Provide executive advice on technology investment, architecture and emerging technologies.
• Oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud services, integration, data platforms and cyber security.
• Act as the senior technology security advisor to the Board and executive team.
• Develop and mature technology governance, policies, standards and compliance frameworks.
• Prepare board papers, executive briefings and governance reporting.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing technology team.
• Manage technology budgets, procurement, contracts and vendor performance.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and organisational capability uplift.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading enterprise ICT and cyber security functions in complex organisations.
• Strong strategic leadership with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience establishing governance, policy and compliance frameworks.
