Head of Purpose (Director) – People & Purpose

About the role

This senior leadership position will shape and lead Deloitte Australia's enterprise Purpose agenda, bringing together Social Impact, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Indigenous commitments into a single, integrated strategy with firm‑wide reach.

Key responsibilities

• Set and drive a firm‑wide Purpose strategy with clear priorities, measurable outcomes and strong governance.
• Lead and build a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team across DEI, Social Impact and Indigenous programmes.
• Translate strategy into executable plans and ensure delivery across a complex, matrixed organisation.
• Identify new approaches, partnerships or investments that accelerate impact.
• Advise the Executive and Board on progress, trade‑offs and priorities.
• Embed Purpose into business decisions, client relationships and the Deloitte brand.
• Align stakeholders across Business Units, Growth and People & Purpose to drive momentum.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in social impact, DEI or Indigenous outcomes.
• Demonstrated passion for inclusion, social impact and measurable change at scale.
• Proven ability to lead change in a large, matrixed organisation.
• Strategic clarity combined with strong execution skills.
