About the role

Fintona Girls' School is seeking an accomplished educational leader to join its School Leadership Team as Head of Pedagogy & Curriculum. Reporting directly to the Principal, you will shape the strategic direction of teaching and learning from Prep to Year 12, fostering a culture of academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of contemporary curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices across all year levels.
• Strengthen the use of student learning data to inform teaching practice and improve outcomes.
• Develop the capability of Learning Area Leaders and teaching staff through professional learning, coaching and collaboration.
• Foster a high‑performing academic culture that promotes student aspiration and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to whole‑school strategic planning and educational leadership.

Required profile

• Proven record of educational leadership, curriculum development and pedagogical improvement.
• Deep knowledge of contemporary teaching and learning practices, curriculum frameworks and assessment.
• Expertise in using student learning data to drive better outcomes.
• Strong strategic thinking, organisational capability and experience leading educational change.
• Collaborative, relational leadership style with a genuine commitment to academic excellence and girls' education.
